Why Choose Us

We get most of our patients from word-of-mouth.

While this is brilliant you may have more questions. Sometimes because a friend has only partially described their experience.

"They are good" or "I am now pain-free"

or sometimes its because you never thought to ask. Either way, you may not know how we are different from other Chiropractors, Physios or Osteopaths or how these differences benefit you.

Firsty, we believe not knowing is not 'excellent care' and so we have detailed how we work below:

Our Clients

Many of our patrons have not found a solution using essential NHS GP support.

If you are in this situation, our approach to health may help.

We believe in being proactive and holistic, and that maintenance is better than repair.

"If you treat your car like this, the annual MOT and services, then surely your body should be addressed similarly?"

We call it 4 Core Postural Treatment Approach, and we implement it in three stages of care.

Our objective is to relieve your pain, before reconditioning and optimising your body. The aim is for your body to be restored to health, and to remain in a state of optimal performance, transforming suffering into ‘TOTAL HEALTH’.

Stage 1: Relief

The stage RELIEF STAGE aims to diagnose your problem and begin a programme of treatment to relieve suffering.

This is a cyclical process of ‘assess, treat, and review’ that happens every few sessions. Typically, this takes a number of weeks but expect to see positive changes by end of week one

Your chiropractor will work on your symptoms to create a relief.

There is an average number of sessions, but you may take more or less depending on your condition and how life adds stresses your condition's healing.

Your practitioner will give you a prognosis of how long this will take at the consultation.

Assess

The initial objective is to identify the cause of your symptoms. The Chiropractor will begin by undertaking a thorough history and examination to diagnose your problem. They will explain the diagnosis to you and discuss the range of available treatment options.

Treatment

Once your problem has been diagnosed, the focus shifts towards the procedure. Your chiropractor will write a treatment plan that is specific to your needs. The longer you have had symptoms, the longer it may take to improve. Your chiropractor will advise you of likely recovery time and how to minimise the chances of the problem reoccurring.

The best results are achieved by sticking to your treatment plan and listening to the advice from your chiropractor.

You will be provided with a printed copy of your plan to take away with you.

Treatment reaction

A small number of patients may experience discomfort after their treatment normally likened to going to the gym. As some rehab, exercises and motion are given back to a body this sensation is to be expected.

For someone who has been suffering for a long time, there is often anxiety attached to this possible sensation. And we believe in clarifying this to abate the anxiety. The reaction is an adaption by the body to change it may only last a few hours or days and is typically only felt by 10% of clients

If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact your chiropractor.

Review

This completes the first stage. Your chiropractor may suggest some helpful tips for maintenance and prevention of further problems. At this point, it is your decision whether to consider a more proactive approach.

Stage 2: Recondition

If you decide you want to take a more proactive approach, we will work with you and devise a focused, tailored plan to meet your specific needs. The overall aim is to improve your body strength, flexibility, stability, balance and range of movement. Your chiropractor may introduce some different methods to achieve your targets, including:

  • Softening
  • Stretch
  • Straighten
  • Strengthen.

Stage 3: Optimisation

The focus has now switched to maintenance - we don't want your symptoms to come back!

Phase 3 aims to monitor your condition, maintain your body’s optimal function, prevent any setbacks and control any symptoms effectively if they arise.
